The construction of Huangpu Multifunctional Dock has recently been approved by Guangdong Development and Reform Committee and become one of the second batch of projects for expanding internal demand in Guangdong.

With total investment of 347 million yuan 347 million yuan, the dock will construct five 1000-ton multifunctional berths and facilities. The capability reaches 94,000 TEU and 1120,000 tons of cargos. The annual throughput will be 1.9 million tons.

The dock is located at Wulan Village Huangpu Town. The project is the key one of the city in 2011. It will promote the capability of Zhongshan Harbor and promote related industries when it is put into operation in 2012.
