Statistics of the Customs shows that foreign trade of Zhongshan keeps a good momemtum for the first half of this year. Import and export totals US$ 16.63 billion, surpassing 15 billion for the first time, up by 14.2% year on year. Exports reached US$ 11.81 billion, up by 14.1% and exports recorded 4.82 billion, up by 14.4%. This represents a trade surplus of US$ 6.99 billion.

From January to June, Zhongshan remains the 7th largest importer and exporter and the 5th largest exporter in Guangdong.
