Xue Xiaofeng was having a talk with President of Tsinghua University Chen Jining in Beijing on September 2, discussing about the construction of Qinghua Industrial Park.

Zhongshan Municipal Committee General Secretary Xue Xiaofeng led his fellows to visit National Development and Reform Commission, General Administration of Quality Supervision, China Food and Drug Administration, the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait, Tsinghua University and other ministries, higher institutes and central enterprises from 22nd to 25th in order to gain guidance and support for Zhongshan’s hot issues in construction and reform. The visit achieved substantial progress and came to an agreement on strategic cooperation with Tsinghua University.

National Development and Reform Commission: New Cuiheng District can apply for a National Experimental Area.

We hope New Cuiheng District can make best of the geographical advantages and develop its unique and strong features, exploring its own way, through adjustment and improvement, moving toward the goal of building a national strategic platform.

Tsinghua University: We come to an agreement on strategic cooperation in different items.
The two parties agreed that they would further their cooperation in water protection, Tsinghua Industrial Park in Zhongshan, living environment, HR exchange and training and promotion of the unity of China, etc. and their agreements would be signed later some day. What is next, Tsinghua University will organize Institute of Tsinghua University, Tsinghua Science Park and Tsinghua Holdings to visit New Cuiheng District investigating the specific cooperation.

General Administration of Quality Supervision: Policies on Macau-Zhongshan yacht free trip shall be made as soon as possible.
??General Administration of Quality Supervision has finished the inspection and approval work about the enlarged opening of Zhongshan Port and sent an investigating group to Shenwan Town to conduct a field research on the convenient inspection and guarantee policy to facilitate Macau-Zhongshan yacht free trip.

China Food and Drug Administration: We support Zhongshan to apply for the qualification to become a national port city to import drugs.
??At present China Food and Drug Administration and General Administration of Customs are engaged in making relevant policies for setting up and administration of drug importing ports, to support Zhongshan’s application.
The State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait: Construction of New Cuiheng District can be promoted by the advantage of setting up of the Base for Exchange Across the Taiwan Strait.

The Base for Exchange Across the Taiwan Strait is officially approved by the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office to be set up in New Cuiheng District. Since 2016 is Sun Yat-sen’s 150th birthday, the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office and Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait expected an outstanding and special base for exchange across the Taiwan strait to be build in New Cuiheng District.
