Vice Mayor Feng Yurong met with the delegation headed by Félix Raúl Rojas Cruz, consul-general of Cuba in Guangzhou yesterday morning to exchange views on culture, sports, tourism, economic cooperation in agriculture and industry, etc. to promote mutual understanding and co-development.

Feng says, it is expected that this meeting will strengthen cooperation in economy, trade, and investment between Zhongshan and Cuba, and more meetings of this kind will be held in the future. Zhongshan will strengthen the cooperation with Cuba and make Cuba companies more acquainted with Zhongshan. The household appliances in Zhongshan are inexpensive and of good quality, having a large market in Cuba while Cuba boasts rich mineral resources, sugar, tobacco, wood, marine products, etc., all of which appeals to Zhongshan. There is large room for cooperation between the two sides especially in agriculture and industry.
