On the afternoon of August 3, Zhongshan Port Customs issued an electronic "Certificate of Inspection and Quarantine for Inbound Goods" for a batch of chocolates declared for import by Zhongshan Huiming Trading Co Ltd. This the first electronic certificate issued by Gongbei Customs District.

This year, Zhongshan Customs and Zhongshan Port Customs, both affiliated to Gongbei Customs, have continuously optimized their supervision services and made solid progress in stabilizing enterprises and businesses. According to statistics, Zhongshan's total export-import value in the first half of the year was 97.34 billion yuan. Among them, exports totaled 78.25 billion yuan and imports totaled 19.09 billion yuan. The total import and export value in June was close to the same period last year.

At present, the Zhongshan Port Customs is continuing to help promote key projects such as Zhongshan's declaration of comprehensive free trade zones, the application of the China (Guangdong) Free Trade Pilot Zone's expansion in Zhongshan, and the declaration of the Zhongshan Drug Import Port, so as to assist in the construction of the International Cooperation Innovation Zone for Biomedical Science and Technology in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Industrial Development Corridor.
