According to Feng Ben, deputy general manager of Guangsheng Sports Equipment, the company has set up a special team for energy conservation and carbon reduction. Guangsheng Sports Equipment plans to complete the installation of photovoltaic power generators on all the factory roofs within 3 to 5 years, which will help reduce electricity bills by 15% and reduce carbon emissions by about 10,000 tons every year for the company.

Guangsheng Sports Equipment also aims to save energy, reduce carbon emissions and increase efficiency by upgrading major high energy-consuming equipment. For example, it has invested tens of millions of yuan in waste water and waste gas treatment. With the new cutting-edge RTO facilities for VOCs waste gas treatment, the company now can reduce the emissions of organic gaseous exhaust.

Guangsheng Sports Equipment is a labor-intensive manufacturing enterprise, with over 13,000 employees at its peak. In recent years, through purchasing modern equipment and developing new intelligent manufacturing technology, more of its manufacturing line is becoming automated. At present, the number of employees dropped to around 7,000, while the total output value has remained stable.
