At the workshops of Chant, a thermal energy technology company in Zhongshan, workers are busily assembling cookers for camping and picnic uses.

"Due to the surging global outdoor sports craze, China-made camping devices are gaining widespread popularity among customers around the globe," said Yin Yanxia, Chant's vice audit chief.

As a private enterprise that originated from Zhongshan, Chant is a gas appliance manufacturer with hundreds of patents and inventions after 40 years' development. The company's foldable cookers for camping and outdoor grills are becoming hot sellers abroad.

According to Zhongshan Customs, the city's exports of outdoor cookers totaled 520 million yuan in the first quarter, representing 14.4% year-on-year growth.
