The blueprint of Linhai base

Zhongshan (Linhai) Torch-planned Machinery Equipment Manufacturing Base in China (hereinafter referred as Linhai base) was approved to establish by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China in December, 2004. Covering the planned area of approximately 1,868 hectares, the Linhai Base is situated in Ma’an Island in Zhongshan Torch High Tech Development Zone, west of the Pearl River Estuary, south of Nansha District of Guangzhou City, west of downtown of Zhongshan Torch High Tech Development Zone, north of Lingding Sea. The main road in the Zone connects with Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway, Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway, Yanhai Expressway and programmed Guangzhou-Zhuhai railway, enjoying convenient transportation both by land and by sea.

Industries like equipment manufacturing, new energy, new materials, and modern logistics are given top priority to develop in the base, and those high level and high investment industries like large-scaled equipment manufacturing enterprises will be the main projects to be introduced into the base. So far, 22 projects have been introduced into the base including Fong’s Industries Company Limited from Hong Kong which is the largest textile dyeing-and-finishing equipment manufacturing enterprise in the world, industry lube, life boat for vessel from Germany, vessel manufacturing by Guangxin Group with investment amounting to 8.8 billion yuan.

Linhai base is the most important platform for equipment manufacturing industry in Zhongshan and drives Zhongshan to adjust its industrial structure and realize the appropriately heavier industries, which is now growing into the engine of Zhongshan City and the Pearl River Delta.
