It was learned from the Municipal Bureau of Technology that Xiaolan Town has been approved to be among the sixth batch of scientific and technological bases of international cooperation in Guangdong Province, also the first semiconductor lighting base of international cooperation in Guangdong Province.

The founding of the base will help to perfect the serving and supporting system of semiconductor lighting industry, quicken the pace to integrate the industrial resources, promote international cooperations, and upgrade the capablility of basic research, technological research and the commercialization of research findings.
