Guzhen will establish an advanced public service platform for LED development and testing and actively encourage and support enterprises to introduce LED production lines in 2010. According to Su Enming, the town mayor of Guzhen, the town will spare no efforts to promote lighting industrial upgrading by greatly developing LED industry.

Guzhen has realized the transformation from traditional lighting to new lighting of LED after several years’ efforts. Driven by the market, the town specializes in LED lighting and the industry occupies the largest percentage of production value of related industries in Zhongshan with an annual production value of more than 3.5 billion yuan. At present, Gu Zhen has made the objective of creating the town a world famous LED City, passing the planning construction of “one base, five centers and one demonstration project” and forming a new LED industrial cluster. Aiming to realize 20 billion output value of LED and solar energy industries and cultivating some new energy enterprises, the town will establish a provincial characteristic industrial base of new energies and try to set a good example in energy saving.
