In the evening of 25th, principal party and government leaders from Zhongshan and Heyuan cities met in Guangzhou recalling friendship and welcoming the spring festival. Both sides expressed intentions of strengthening cooperation and advancing the construction of Zhongshan (Heyuan) Industrial Transfer Park. Members attended the meeting include Chen Genkai, secretary of the Zhongshan municipal party committee, Xue xiaofeng, acting mayor of Zhongshan city, Chen Jianhua, secretary of the Heyuan municipal party committee, and Liu Xiaohua, deputy secretary of the Heyuan municipal party committee and mayor of Heyuan city.

6 years ago, the two cities joined hands to start the construction of Zhongshan (Heyuan) Industrial Transfer Park which has made significant progress. The park has introduced many high-tech, large-scale, and promising enterprises with independent brands. Next year, one of the enterprises’ production output is expected to exceed 10 billion Yuan. Last year, the whole industrial park’s output value reached 20 billion Yuan which is six times as that of 2006. It is expected that, to the year 2013, at least 3 to 5 enterprises in the industrial park will have annual output value of 10 billion Yuan. Zhongshan (Heyuan) Industrial Transfer Park has become one of the models of Guangdong’s 34 industrial transfer parks, ranking second overall. Just because of the proper propelling of the industrial park construction, Heyuan city has been successively provided by the provincial government with 1 billion Yuan support fund.

It is reported that, in the year 2011, the industrial park will put emphasis on strengthening the construction of infrastructure, completing supporting facilities, stepping up the energy conservation and pollution reduction work, improving the ability to accept transferred industries from Zhongshan and other cities in the Pearl River Delta, so as to build the industrial park into the best place for transferred industries and to create an important point of economic growth in Heyuan.
