A rosewood furniture industrial belt is taking shape in Zhongshan, Zhuhai and Jiangmen City. Dachong town and Shaxi town of Zhongshan, with about 500 enterprises engaging in rosewood furniture industry there, is playing a vital role and become the center of the industrial belt.

Dachong is entitled national “Professional Town of Rosewood Furniture Manufacturing” and “Town of Rosewood Carving Art”, while Shaxi Town has two grand markets with a construction area of 500,000 square meters, which will contribute to the further development of the furniture industry of the two towns.

On July 15, a rewarded policy encouraging technology innovation, brand-name strategy, restructuring of shareholding system and financing for the rosewood furniture industry has been issued by Dachong government. An industrial upgrading scheme is also under discussion to help Dachong to develop into a rosewood furniture industrial center.

The adjacent Shaxi town also released their goal on building a national distribution base for high-class rosewood furniture and a modern sales center on rosewood furniture either.
