Recently Dachong Town was awarded by Specialized Committee of China Industrial Clusters the title “China’s Industrial Cluster Economy Demonstration Town”. Huang Hongquan, Party secretary of Dachong Town, was awarded the national prize “Figures with Special Contribution to Promote Industrial Development at County-level Places”.

Sponsored by Specialized Committee of China Industrial Clusters, the 2012 (the 3rd) China Industrial Development Convention was held recently in Beijing. With the theme “industrial patterns in the situation of regional competition”, the convention assessed and analyzed the competitiveness of China’s county-level industrial clusters. After assessing and analyzing, the convention issued the list of “China’s top 100 county-level industrial clusters”.

In the first half of 2012, Dachong's industrial output of redwood furniture industry and jean garment industry totaled 4.225 billion Yuan, up 10.94% over the same period of last year. The industrial output of redwood furniture and jeans garment reached 1.181 billion Yuan and 3.045 billion Yuan, up 11.39% and 10.76% respectively over the same period of last year.
