On the afternoon of June 5, the Zhongshan Guzhen Town-Shenzhen Strategic Emerging Industry Cooperation and Investment Promotion Meeting was held in Shenzhen. The Guzhen township government and Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association (SLDA) signed a cooperation contract to jointly build Zhongshan's Guzhen (Shenzhen) Strategic Emerging Industrial Base. Twelve enterprises that plan to settled in this base have also signed strategic cooperation contracts with the Guzhen township government. The activity attracted more than 60 enterprises and over 80 entrepreneurs.

According to reports, the Guzhen (Shenzhen) Strategic Emerging Industrial Base includes a New Third Board industry cluster area, intelligent lighting industry cluster area, and high-definition video industry cluster area. The Guzhen township government and SLDA will set up a "Zhongshan Intelligent Lighting Industry Research Institute", which will carry out industry-university-research cooperation with Guzhen in the fields of intelligent lighting, intelligent light poles, and healthy lighting.

Guzhen is currently vigorously building a TOD China Lighting Capital Industrial New Town of nearly 1400 mu (933,333 square meters), targeting investment promotion of enterprise production in illuminanting microchips, smart homes technology, smart lighting, and smart 5G lamp poles.
