The ground-breaking ceremony for Zhongshan's key projects was held in the Future City in Tsuihang New District (THND) on December 2. Projects with a total investment of over 27.5 billion yuan have begun construction, and a number of major projects have been introduced in THND.
The Future City project, which started on the same day, will be home to at least 200 enterprises, including at least 35 high-tech enterprises, and provide at least 5,000 new jobs after completion. An academic research department, a school-enterprise cooperation training center, an industry incubator and accelerator, a project roadshow center, and an equity investment center will be set up in the park.
An investment signing conference for major projects in THND was also held that day, and the high-profile Xiwan National Major Instrument Science Park was unveiled. The total construction area of the project is about 70,000 square meters. After completion, at least 30 high-end instrument and equipment projects will be devised.
Contracts of more than 20 major projects were signed, covering large-scale complexes, museums, science and technology industrial parks, etc. Among them, the contracts of 6 major projects, including the PowerChina Roadbridge Group Co Ltd, Beita South Headquarters Complex, Video Compression Digital Industrial Park, Sunmax Technology Headquarters Base, Lanju Greater Bay Area Museum (tentative name), and Ruihui Science and Technology Park, were signed with a total investment of over 21.5 billion yuan.
In addition, a signing ceremony for bank credit programs was held. THND signed contracts with the Zhongshan Branch of Bank of China, Zhongshan Branch of Bank of Communications, Zhongshan Branch of China Construction Bank, Zhongshan Branch of Agricultural Bank of China, Zhongshan Branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Zhongshan Branch of Industrial Bank.
