On the morning of March 16th, as the mechanical arms of excavators waved in the air, the construction of the Vailog International Trade Supply Chain Management and Settlement Center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area began.
The project is located in Zhongshan Northern Industrial Park (Huangpu district), with a land area of 168 mu and a total investment of about 1 billion yuan, including about 50 million dollars of foreign investment. A three-story warehouse and logistics facility is planned, and the project will have the highest land use rate and unit investment intensity of all logistic projects in Southern China.
A total of 33 key projects in Huangpu Town began construction on the same day, with a total investment of over 10.3 billion yuan. Among them 22 projects have a total investment of over 100 million yuan. These projects involve such fields as modern logistics, environmental technology, intelligent household appliances, food industry, renovation of the old towns, old factories and old villages, infrastructure and etc.
Huangpu Town is one of China's household appliances manufacturing bases, and it is famous for Chinese preserved food and its history and culture. In 2020, Huangpu's GDP reached 10.56 billion yuan, an increase of 4.4% from 2019.
