Plans to expand and renew urban centers in the Northern Industrial Park and the Southern New Town in Zhongshan are seeking investment to facilitate the integrated development of the GBA.

In the Northern Industrial Park, plans are drafted to revitalize the whole island of Dacen in Huangpu, a total area of about 321.96 hectares (4,829 mu). The construction of one phase of this revitalization is about to start, covering a total area of about 70.49 hectares (1057.35 mu).

The development of Huangpu Town in the Northern Industrial Park is leading the way in Zhongshan for urban revitalization. It will draw on the experience of surrounding cities as well as exploring its own ideas to transform the area.

Relying mainly on Sanxiang, Tanzhou and Shenwan towns, the Southern New Town will build an industrial development area and create a strong foundation for cooperation between Zhuhai and Zhongshan cities.

According to the renewal plan, the Sanxiang Guhe-Jinwan area is the main area for revitalization and has a total area of about 610.48 hectares (9,175.2 mu). One phase of this key area will start construction soon, with a total area of 77.16 hectares (1,157.4 mu).
