The ground-breaking ceremony for the industrial park renovation project of Zhongshan Rongnan Machinery Industry Co Ltd was held in Nantou Town on May 29.

Rongnan Machinery will build high-tech factories with green space, which will be mainly used as production workshops for carbon fiber materials, sports equipment, bicycle accessories and medical equipment.

The project with an expected investment of 300 million yuan covers an area of about 25,000 square meters and a construction area of about 70,000 square meters. It will be built in three phases. After beginning production, it will increase the annual output value by 200 million yuan and the annual tax revenue by 6 million yuan, and create 600 new jobs.

Rongnan Machinery has been doing business in Nantou since 2000, specializing in the production of sports equipment, medical equipment, office chairs and bicycle accessories. Its products are exported to global high-end markets including the United States, France and Japan. In 2021, the company's output value stood at 430 million yuan, with the tax revenue exceeding 12 million yuan.
