A demolition ceremony was held on June 12 to launch the fourth batch of inefficient industrial park renovation projects in Tsuihang New District. Four projects including the Pingding land parcel and the Baowei Intelligent Technology Park will remove a total of 20,000 square meters of old factory buildings and reorganize a total land area of 551 mu (about 36.7 hectares).
The Zhongshan-based Baowei company plans to invest 600 million yuan to build a headquarter base for intelligent manufacturing and innovation R&D. The Baowei Intelligent Technology Park will be used for R&D, production and sales of high-end precision medical equipment and spare parts, personal health care products, baby and child products, and etc.
The project will be completed and put into operation in 2026, with a total construction area of about 100,000 square meters. By the end of 2029, the output value of the project is estimated to reach 300 million yuan, increasing over five times compared with that of 2021, and the tax revenue will exceed 10 million yuan.
Located in Cuiheng Village, the Pingding land parcel is only about 5 kilometers away from Zhuhai's Technology Innovation Coast. It is planned to focus on such sectors as industrial design, software development, cultural and creative industry among others and provide productive supporting services for surrounding areas.
