The demolition ceremony for the tenth batch of inefficient industrial park projects in Torch Development Zone was held on the morning of July 25. Donghuang Technology Co Ltd plans to invest 225 million yuan to build its jewelry-themed cultural and industrial park. It is also the first HK-funded industrial park renovation project launched in Torch Development Zone and even in Zhongshan.

Donghuang Technology specializes in producing all kinds of jewelry in Zhongshan for more than 20 years. The Donghuang Science and Technology Industrial Park is located on Keji Road East in Torch Development Zone, with a land area of 32.31 mu. Some 11,500 square meters of old factory buildings and dormitories will be demolished, and a 100-m jewelry-themed cultural creative operation center and three high-standard modern industrial factory buildings will be built. The total construction area of the project is about 88,500 square meters (floor area ratio of 3.5), with an annual output value of about 500 million yuan and an annual tax revenue of about 22 million yuan upon completion.
