With the last pouring of reinforced concrete on the south side of the west landing point of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge on December 18, the main structure of the Future Technology Center of the Bay Area in Zhongshan was topped out. The project is expected to be fully completed and put into operation by late December 2023.
Co-funded by Shenzhen Science & Industry Park Group and Cuiheng Group, Future Technology Center of the Bay Area will take electronic information, intelligent manufacturing and modern services as its main industries. The center will bring together at least 200 enterprises, including at least 35 high-tech enterprises, with a total output value of 10 billion yuan.
As a key project to promote industry-city integration between Shenzhen and Zhongshan cities, Future Technology Center of the Bay Area will accommodate industrial spillover from Shenzhen and attract modern service industries from Hong Kong and Macao to create a model for industrial interaction between the east and west banks of the Pearl River Estuary.
Since it broke ground, many Shenzhen-based enterprises have visited the center for surveys. A listed company has signed a framework agreement to place its R&D base in the center.
