Several businessmen from Hong Kong visited Cuiheng New District on May 19 and inspected the Zhongshan Life Science Park, a key provincial-municipal co-construction project in Zhongshan.
The park is constructed in two phases. With an investment of 6 billion yuan and an area of 225 mu, Phase 1 includes 18 buildings. As a professional incubation park for the biomedical industry, it is engaged in R&D, technological breakthroughs, platform services and industrial incubation of biological medicine.
All 18 buildings have been completed and are under interior decoration. Investment promotion is being conducted, with over 120 projects under negotiation, of which over 60% are from Shenzhen.
The Zhongshan Life Science Park, next to Xiangshan Avenue in the eastern Cuiheng New District (Ma'an Island), is a completed biomedical industrial platform with the largest investment within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as a large-siezed, state-funded, high-end biomedical industrial park. It is expected to open this October.
Two dormitory buildings, which can accommodate over 1,000 talents, will be built with 3,000 public parking stalls. A commercial complex and a central sunken plaza will be built to bring in banking and insurance institutions, supermarkets and chain restaurants among other service providers, making the park a new hub of commercial services on Ma'an Island.
