Medicine Economic Reporter and Menet.com.cn jointly released a series of rankings labeled the "2019 Top 100 Pharmaceutical Enterprises in China" recently. A total of 260 pharmaceutical enterprises made the lists.

Two Zhongshan-based medicine firms in the National Health Technology Park, Akeso Biopharma and Zhongzhi Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd, were on the lists and ranked 16th in the China's Top 20 Bio-pharmaceutical Enterprises (including Blood Products, Vaccines, Insulin, etc)" and 74th in the "China's Top 100 Traditional Chinese Medicine Enterprises" respectively.

Akeso Biopharma was established in the National Health Technology Park in March 2012. Its team primarily consists of immunologists, experts in research and development for antibody drugs and GMP production who have worked for many years in world-renowned pharmaceutical enterprises.

Zhongzhi Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd was established in the National Health Technology Park in 2000. It is a large-scale pharmaceutical industry and trade enterprise that integrates R&D, production and marketing of Chinese patent medicine, traditional Chinese medicine decoctions, health care products and food as well as drug retail business.
