Guzhen Town recently passed the "Lighting Capital of China" reevaluation and acceptance inspection conducted by national experts.

In 2002, Guzhen Town was awarded the honorary title of "Lighting Capital of China" by the China National Light Industry Council and the China Lighting Industry Association, and successfully passed the reevaluation and acceptance inspections in 2005, 2008, 2011 and 2015.

Since 2016, Guzhen Town has continued to implement measures to strengthen intellectual property rights protection and to further create original design brands.

In 2018, Guzhen Town became a national market purchasing trade unit, and in 2019 exported 11.6-billion-yuan of lighting appliances through market purchasing trade mode.

In 2019, Guzhen Town introduced the Shenzhen MTC Lighting Industrial Park project, which was the first investment attraction project with an annual output value reaching 2 billion yuan.

In May this year, Guzhen Town established the Guzhen Smart Light Pole Alliance with 30 street lamp enterprises listed as the founding units. In this way, Guzhen can accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional street lamps to smart street lamps.
