Days before, at Zhongshan Bonded Logistics Center, Zhongshan Customs officers sampled a batch of red wines imported by Zhongshan CODA Logistics Co Ltd from the Republic of North Macedonia.
Relying on the Zhongshan Bonded Logistics Center, the first B-type bonded area on the west bank of the Pearl River, Zhongshan's red wine import business is forging ahead steadily, and citizens can now taste different red wines from more than 20 countries such as France, Spain, Italy, and the United States.
Over the last two years, the sales volume of red wines from newly producing areas along the Belt and Road (B&R) is increasing year by year through the exhibition and trading platform of the customs agency. "In Europe, Northern Macedonia is famous for its high quality wines," said Hu Xiangdong, customs declaration manager of CODA Logistics.
With the promotion of the B&R Initiative, many enterprises in the Zhongshan Bonded Logistics Center have established foreign trade relations in many emerging red wine markets. "Red wines from B&R countries including as the Republic of North Macedonia and Chile are of high quality and low prices, which meets domestic customers' needs. These red wine products have accounted for half of our sales," said Hu Xiangdong.
With the business of the exhibition and trading area of the Zhongshan Bonded Logistics Center, consumers and distributors can come to understand and purchase the products of many different red wine brands, while importers can make full use of policies to greatly save storage and unsalable costs. At present, the exhibition and trading of imported red wines has become an important feature of the Zhongshan Bonded Logistics Center.
