Ma'an Island in Tsuihang New District (THND) is busy with construction this April. More than 1,200 workers are working on main buildings at the construction site of the Tsuihang New District Biomedical Innovation Center of Zhongshan, a municipal key project on Cuiwei Avenue.
The project covers an area of about 150,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 594,000 square meters. It includes an underground complex and 18 individual buildings.
Currently, 8 buildings have sealed the top. They will be delivered to the Zhongshan Institute for Drug Discovery, the Institute of Drug Discovery and Development, CAS for later use. The other 10 buildings plan to complete structural construction by the end of May.
The whole project was scheduled to be completed by next August. According to the current progress, it may be finished 3 or 4 months in advance and then enter the acceptance stage.
As an important platform for the communication and upgrading of the biomedical industry in Zhongshan, the Tsuihang New District Biomedical Innovation Center of Zhongshan has been included as one of the major projects of the People's Government of Guangdong Province for its efforts to cultivate and develop key industrial clusters and emerging industrial clusters. National platforms such as the National Laboratory of Drug Research and Chinese National Compound Library will be set up inside, and first-class domestic drug research and development teams will be introduced to promote the development of the biomedical industry.
