The Zhongshan Xiangshan Bay Hot Spring Resort Island project was announced on many websites at home and abroad on July 7.
Tsuihang New District is an important stage for Zhongshan's contributions to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In order to promote the further development of Tsuihang New District, the Damao Island area of Xiangshan Bay in Tsuihang New District was chosen as the home of the Xiangshan Bay Hot Spring Resort Island project, which aims to build a globally renowned hot spring resort island and host major international events.
The project will be built on Damao Island, southwest of Ma'an Island. According to the announcement, an international consultation will be conducted, covering access via Tsuihang Expressway in the north, Minglang Avenue in the south, the Eastern Outer Ring Highway in the west and Ma'an Island's southern coastline in the east, with a total area of 22.2 square kilometers. The consultation will focus on an innovative development philosophy and adhere to low-carbon requirements, hoping to explore new development models for coastal vacation destinations. The planning and construction of the project will pay attention to local ecosystems, local scenery, external traffic connections, hot spring pipes, waterfront sustainability, safety and other aspects.
