The  Zhongshan New Crop Varieties and Technologies Exhibition 2021 Autumn opened at the Zhongshan Agricultural Entrepreneurship Incubation Base for College Graduates in Minzhong Sub-district on December 9. A total of 360 new crop varieties belonging to 11 species made debut in the exhibition.

This is the ninth year that the exhibition has been held in Zhongshan. It is divided into 12 areas, and the plant varieties displayed are combined with classified varieties and enterprises, greenhouse cultivation, open field planting, improved plant strains, reliable methodology, and agricultural machinery and agronomy.

The new varieties displayed were selected from the 2021 Guangdong Catalogue of Leading Crop Varieties issued by the Department of Agriculture and Guangdong Province Rural Affairs Department and the newly selected plant varieties were recommended by a number of well-known universities, scientific research institutions and seedling companies such as the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, South China Agricultural University and Guangzhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences. All of the promoted plant varieties are suitable for large-scale production and promotion in Zhongshan.

The exhibition will be open to the public from December 13 to 17, and group appointments are available.
