The Guangdong Division of the 11th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2022 and the Biomedical Industry Competition of the 10th "Pearl River Angel Cup" took place at Perfect (China) company's south China based in Tsuihang New District, Zhongshan on the morning of August 20.

A total of 87 outstanding biomedical enterprises from all across Guangdong, including 11 from Zhongshan, took part in the competition. Finally, 21 enterprises including Zhongshan Zhiben Pharmaceutical, Zhongshan RabPharma and Baiji Youtang entered the next stage.

"I think there are many development opportunities in Zhongshan. Our achievement transformation center is located in Shenzhen. After the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge is completed and open to traffic, Zhongshan will be more attractive to us," said Fang Sihan, representative of a participating enterprise from Guangzhou.

"Zhongshan is of advantageous geographic position in the Greater Bay Area. The construction of the Guangdong Reform and Innovation Experimental Zone for the Integrated and Interactive Development of the East and West Banks of the Pearl River Estuary endows Zhongshan with more development opportunities, making it a perfect place for investment and deserving of attention from innovators and entrepreneurs," said Chen Jianglei, representative of a participating enterprise from Maoming City.

Biological medicine is a strategic emerging and leading industry of Zhongshan City. A biomedical industry cluster that covers biomedicine, prescription drugs, modern Chinese medicine, medical equipment, diagnostic reagents and other fields has been developed in Zhongshan.
