China National Offshore Oil Corporation's unveiled its Guangdong new energy headquarters in Zhongshan's East District on the morning of September 7.
Yang Yun, executive vice president, chief safety officer and general manager of new energy department of CNOOC, indicated their belief in Zhongshan as a technical hub of the new energy industry in Guangdong. Technically supported by Mingyang Smart Energy among other enterprises, Zhongshan has relatively complete supporting facilities. CNOOC hopes to strengthen cooperation with Guangdong-based enterprises in energy, power, wind turbine manufacturing and supporting areas to boost the green and high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Ye Hongguang, a Standing Committee member of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee and deputy mayor of Zhongshan, gave an address at the unveiling ceremony. He hoped CNOOC and Zhongshan can further cooperation in new energy, offshore engineering equipment manufacturing, offshore wind power and offshore hydrogen production areas, jointly build a national new energy platform, and promote Zhongshan to complete carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals and realize green, low-carbon and high-quality development.
