Zhongshan's was unveiled as a National E-commerce Demo Base to become the first of its kind in Zhongshan just before the National Day holiday, marking a new stage of development for Zhongshan's e-commerce industry.
From 2021 through the first half of 2022, e-commerce enterprises in E-Park recorded total e-commerce transactions of more than 3.6 billion yuan, up 39.1% year-on-year. The total revenue generated from e-commerce business stood at 1.83 billion yuan, up 20.5% year-on-year.
E-Park's achievements are the epitome of the overall development of the e-commerce industry in Zhongshan. After being approved to set up a comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zone, Zhongshan has successively rolled out several policies in recent years aligning the development of domestic e-commerce industry with the international community.
In the first 8 months of this year, Zhongshan's cross-border e-commerce integrated online service platform saw a 574% year-on-year increase in the amount of orders from enterprises. At present, Zhongshan is home to more than 13,000 e-commerce business entities. According to the evaluation of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones organized by the Ministry of Commerce in 2021, Zhongshan was rated second only to Guangzhou and Shenzhen within Guangdong Province. It was also the only one included in the second-tier cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones among the seven cities in Guangdong approved over the same period.
