The 3rd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Zhongshan Biomedicine Industry Summit Forum opened in Cuiheng New District on April 15.

With the participation of more than 300 experts, scholars and representatives of industry leading enterprises, the summit forum delivered 25 lectures and 8 roadshows, aiming to promote the in-depth and integrative development of the academic, industrial and financial sectors of biomedicine.

With 39 pharmaceutical manufacturers, Zhongshan registered an output value of 10.4 billion yuan from the pharmaceutical industry last year. Seventeen innovative drugs are under clinical trials in Zhongshan, and one of them is under application for market launch.
