The 2023 Xiangshan Biomedical Academician Forum took place at the Cuiheng International Technology Innovation Center in Cuiheng New District on November 9.

During the forum, academicians Rao Zihe and Yang Baofeng were appointed as the biomedical consultants for Cuiheng New District, who will provide intellectual support for the high-quality development of Zhongshan's biomedical industry.

Over 200 people from across the country, including experts of universities and scientific research institutions, as well as representatives of pharmaceutical companies and fund management firms, attended the event.

As Zhongshan's gateway to absorb resources from east bank cities of the Pearl River Estuary such as Shenzhen, Cuiheng New District has developed an industrial ecosystem dominated by health medicine, new energy and high-end equipment manufacturing, next-generation information technology, and modern services.

To attract more talented persons, Cuiheng New District has introduced policies such as "The 16 Articles for Talent" and incentive measures for talent introduction. At the same time, it has established a one-stop service platform for talent, the Zhongshan International Talent Hub, and promoted the construction of many high-end platforms, such as the Zhongshan Institute for Drug Discovery.
