The 5-day 31st China (Guzhen) International Lighting Fair (GILF) kicked off in Guzhen Town, Zhongshan on October 22. More than 3,500 enterprises participate in the fair to showcase nearly 100,000 new lighting products.
As of 12:00 am on October 21, 63,215 people have registered for the event at the main venue, up 7.1% year on year, including 7,631 from 162 countries and regions around the world, up 26.3%.
The main venue is located in the Guzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, while eight sub-venues are located in the Lihe Lighting Expo Center, Huayi Plaza, Star Alliance Global Brand Lighting Center, and etc.
The event focuses on such areas as smart lighting, low-carbon and environmental protection, cross-border integration, and professional, sophisticated, special and innovative products. The total exhibition area exceeds 1.5 million square meters, and more than 3,500 companies participate in the fair.
At the opening ceremony, Guzhen signed a total of 41 fixed investment projects, covering multiple fields such as new energy, smart lighting, and new polymer materials, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan. Upon completion, these projects are expected to achieve a total annual output value of 5 billion yuan and leverage another 3 billion yuan from upstream and downstream industries.
During the event, the Lighting Capital Cultural Carnival will be held at Guzhen People's Square. Other activities include the a Cantonese cuisine chefs skills competition, Golden Earth Concerts, and Cantonese opera shows.
