On the morning of December 28, building demolition was started for Phase 3 of Torch Biomedical Innovation Center in National Health Technology Park in Torch Development Zone.

Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project covering a total area of about 53 mu have been renovated, with a total investment of 150 million yuan. By demolishing 8,000 square meters of low-rise buildings and constructing four quality plant buildings and complexes with a total floor area of 52,000 square meters, the space is nearly seven times larger than before.

With an area of about 62 mu, Phase 3 involves eight 20-year-old buildings. With a planned total investment of 418 million yuan, Phase 3 is expected to rebuild 106,000 square meters of industrial development space, and increase the output value by 850 million yuan. After the renovation, health projects in terms of biomedical R&D and production, high-end medical device and health services will be introduced to create a "Torch Medicine Valley".
