The Overseas Chinese Exchange Conference on Promotion of High-quality Development (Zhongshan) was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on April 12, bringing together merchants from over 20 countries and regions to discuss business cooperation. Zhongshan's city leaders together with overseas Chinese promoted Zhongshan, a beautiful, promising land for for investment.

The event includes the Zhongshan Investment Environment Promotion Exhibition, the signing ceremony of two cooperative agreements with associations and chambers of commerce, and other sessions. The Guangdong Overseas Chinese Enterprises Association signed a letter of intent on cooperation with the Zhongshan Investment Promotion Bureau, and the Zhongshan Cross-border E-Commerce Association concluded a cooperation framework agreement with the E-Commerce Association of Hong Kong.

Besides, 13 lighting enterprises in Zhongshan signed letters of intent with 13 merchants from 11 countries and regions, with a total transaction amount of over 200 million yuan.

By the end of 2022, there had been over 4,500 FDI enterprises in Zhongshan, with a total foreign direct investment of US$ 26.5 billion, including over 3,200 Hong Kong and Macao-funded enterprises, with a total investment of over US$ 18 billion.
