The total number of market entities in Zhongshan has reached 602,296 to date, up 11.95% year on year. This has been attributable to Zhongshan's sustained efforts in optimizing its business environment to boost market vitality.

In April this year, Zhongshan reported 14,149 newly registered market entities, up 9.03% year on year.

These new market entities include 81 foreign-funded enterprises; 328 state-owned, collective enterprises and their holding enterprises; 9,148 individual businesses; and 4,590 private enterprises, up 65.31%, 41.38%, 8.36% and 7.95% year on year respectively.
