Zhongshan is located on the west coast of the Pearl River estuary, facing Shenzhen across the river. After the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge (or the ShenZhong Link) next year, it will take only 20 minutes to drive from Zhongshan to Shenzhen, bringing massive, convenient, low-cost flows of people, goods, capital and information between the two cities.
Since last year, the two cities have worked closely at all levels and in all aspects, with substantial results achieved in the first 44 cooperation matters. Zhongshan and Shenzhen aim to build a 66-square-kilometer Shenzhen-Zhongshan Economic Cooperation Zone based in Cuiheng New District, as well as to focus on industrial collaboration to establish and improve a long-acting mechanism for win-win cooperation.
