The Zhongshan Life Science Park, which is set to open this October, enjoys attention from many Shenzhen-based enterprises. The park has already brought in over 30 enterprises, and over 200 projects are under negotiation, of which more than 70% are from Shenzhen.
Kingfocus Biomedical, a company based in Shenzhen, is a pioneer in the production of QDs diagnostic reagents. After an inspection, the company has reached an initial agreement on settlement in the Zhongshan Life Science Park, and it plans to build a new production base in Cuiheng New District.
The park is less than four kilometers away from the west exit of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge. "After the bridge opens to traffic, it will take less than 30 minutes to shuttle between the Shenzhen headquarters and the Zhongshan base." Li Zhenxiong, deputy general manager of Kingfocus Biomedical, is confident in the company's future development.
Cuiheng New District is speeding up efforts to create a fund matrix to financially support startup projects and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements in the biomedical industry. "We have prepared a 10-square-kilometer healthcare and medicine industrial park, a 10-square-kilometer new energy and high-end equipment industrial park, a 20-square-kilometer next-generation information technology industrial park, as well as three other theme industrial parks," said Li Xuelin, deputy director of the Cuiheng New District administrative committee. "In addition, we have prepared over 10 million square meters of quality industrial space."
