The Zhongshan municipal government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Telecom Guangdong branch on August 24.

According to the agreement, the Zhongshan municipal government and China Telecom Guangdong Branch will establish a comprehensive strategic cooperative relationship to conduct cooperation in various fields, including new infrastructure, digital capitalization, digital transformation of traditional industries, and emerging industries of the digital economy. This is aimed at comprehensively improving Zhongshan's digital intelligence level and further promoting its industrial development and social governance.

China Telecom Guangdong Branch will leverage its advantages in cloud computing to support Zhongshan in digital application innovation, smart city construction, social governance, and industry digitization. It will also explore innovative cooperation with municipal state-owned enterprises in various aspects. The two sides will collaborate to improve government services and urban governance, develop demonstration projects of typical manufacturing applications, promote the building of the Safe Zhongshan, digital villages and digital industrial parks, and further accelerate the process of urban digitization.
