Zhongshan Mayor Xiao Zhanxin on September 21 met with a delegation of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Japan led by its President Xiao Jingru. The two sides exchanged views on such topics as urban construction and industrial development.
Xiao Zhanxin warmly welcomed Xiao Jingru and the CCCJ delegation, and provided an overview of Zhongshan's economic and social development. He stated that Zhongshan has established a manufacturing industry cluster featuring smart home appliances, high-end equipment, next-generation information technology, home decoration and furniture, new energy, healthcare and pharmaceuticals industries, and with comprehensive supporting facilities and an excellent business environment, the city has attracted a large number of domestic and foreign investors. Zhongshan is now home to more than 90 Japanese-funded enterprises, including such renowned brands as Canon, Mitsubishi Electric, and Mitsui Chemical. Zhongshan sincerely invites more enterprises to invest in the city and achieve better, faster development.
Xiao Jingru stated that Zhongshan possesses distinct geographical advantages, a solid manufacturing foundation, a beautiful natural environment, and vast prospects for future development. CCCJ will actively fulfill its role as a bridge to create more communication opportunities, continuously expand cooperation and promote mutually beneficial and win-win development between the two sides.
