Zhongshan held its municipal high-quality development conference right after the provincial high-quality development conference on February 18, the first working day after the Chinese New Year holiday.

Guo Wenhai, Secretary of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, attended the conference and delivered a speech. He pointed out that Zhongshan should unswervingly draw power from innovation, progress on the path of industrial technological innovation, and run faster towards high-quality development.

A number of major projects were signed at the conference, with a combined intended investment of over 200 billion yuan, including 106 projects that had signed agreements for implementation, with a planned investment of 55 billion yuan. Among them there are 91 manufacturing projects, accounting for 95% of the investment of projects signed, and 38 sci-tech projects, accounting for 65%.

At the conference, Zhongshan published a talent recruitment plan for its top 10 industrial clusters, aiming to introduce 1,158 talented persons from the globe for 346 posts offered by 114 key enterprises and scientific research institutions, including 10 listed companies such as Mingyang and Akeso. The highest annual salary exceeds one million yuan.
