Headed by Xiaolan No.2 Lockset Manufacturing Factory, Xiaolan No.1 Lockset Manufacturing Factory, Xiaolan No.3 Lockset Manufacturing Factory, Xiaolanju Jucheng Lockset Factory, and Xiaolan Hardware Factory jointly set up “Guangdong Guli Lockset Manufacturing (Corporation) Company” in October, 1992. In May, 1996, part of the Guangdong Guli Lockset Manufacturing (Corporation) Company cooperated with British Williams Holding Company and American Asian Investment Company to jointly set up the “Yale-Guli Security Products (Guangdong) Co., Ltd.”. In September 2000, the ASSA ABLOY Group acquired the company share of Guangdong Guli Lockset Manufacturing (Corporation) Company owned by British Williams Holding Company was acquired by Sweden ASSA ABLOY Group, making Yale-Guli Company a joint venture under the subordination of ASSA ABLOY Group. In January 2001, ASSA ABLOY Group acquired 40% of the equity share of Yale-Guli Company, formally turning Yale-Guli Company into a company wholly-owned by foreign businessmen. In September 2001, under the approval of China’s Ministry of Foreign Economic Cooperation, Yale-Guli Security Products (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. officially changed its name to Guli Security Products Co., Ltd..
