The UESTC, Zhongshan Institute on December 8 signed a contract with Guangdong Shiji Mingyang Intellectual Property Service Co Ltd for the construction of the IP (Intellectual Property) Practice Base. This is another achievement made in Zhongshan in exploring IP professional training through cooperation among universities, businesses and governments.

According to the agreement between the two parties, Zhongshan Institute will send outstanding students to the company for internships while the company will provide students with systematic and professional training in the intellectual property field, so that students can understand and master the professional knowledge required through practical work.

The UESTC, Zhongshan Institute launched an experimental IP course in September 2018. Over the past 4 years, nearly 40 IP-majored students have been trained every year. So far, nearly 20 students from this innovative program are working in IP protection institutions in Zhongshan.
