Zhongshan's key projects for the first quarter of 2022 started construction on the afternoon of February 16.
The groundbreaking ceremonies for 77 key projects were held across twenty-five towns and districts in Zhongshan. These included infrastructure, industrial engineering and people's livelihood projects, with a total investment of 62 billion yuan and a planned annual investment of 10.1 billion yuan.
Among the 77 projects, there are 14 projects with a total investment exceeding 1 billion yuan, including Phase II of Akeso Biopharma Bay Area Science Park, Poly Changda Engineering GBA Headquarters, the China Resources Gas (CR Gas) GBA Headquarters, PowerChina Roadbridge Group Co Ltd Southern Headquarters, the China Resources Gas Greater Bay Area Headquarters, the China Power Construction Road and Bridge Group Southern Headquarters, SF West Guangdong Smart Supply Chain Science and Technology Innovation Headquarters Base, and others.
There are 12 infrastructure projects with a total investment of 10.9 billion yuan. There are 63 industrial engineering projects with a total investment of 50.9 billion yuan, 56 of which are industrial projects with a total investment of 22 billion yuan and 7 are service industry projects with a total investment of 28.92 billion yuan. The remaining two are people's livelihood projects, with a total investment of 230 million yuan.
Projects such as Akeso Biopharma Bay Area Science Park in Tsuihang New District, Banfu Science and Technology Park Project in Zhongshan Science City in Banfu Town, Nox Bellcow' Project with an annual production of 1.8 billion facemasks in Nantou Town, SF West Guangdong Smart Supply Chain Science and Technology Innovation Headquarters Base Project in Sanjiao Town, Phase II of the New Smart Display Industry Headquarters Project in Tanzhou Town aim to become new highlights in Zhongshan's economic development upon completion.
At the groundbreaking ceremony in Tsuihang New District, the foundation stone was laid for the Tsuihang New District Dock Complex Project, which will be jointly built by Vanke Group and Shum Yip Group. This project covers an area of 1,003 mu, with a total investment of 27 billion yuan. A twin-tower super high-rise building, a convention and exhibition center, a joint customs building, and a beautiful tourist and commercial street based on Lingnan water customs will be built.
