UP Smart Home Industrial Park, the first project benefiting from the "rapid groundbreaking" service in Gangkou Town, started consturction on the morning of February 24.
UP Smart Home Industrial Park covers an area of about 22.1 mu (1.47 hectares) with a total construction area of about 42,000 square meters. The project aims to construct a smart-home product industrial base integrating R&D, production, office area, warehousing and employee dormitories. With a total investment of 148 million yuan, the project is expected to be completed and put into use in 2024, and its annual output value will reach 334 million yuan.
Huang Jianpeng, managing director of Zhongshan-based sanitaryware compay UPware, said the company will construct an industrial park with a R&D base for such products as smart bathroom devices, modern material shower rooms, kitchen accessories and balcony equipment. UPware also plans to introduce international intelligent production lines and AI technologies and establish the "UPware Smart Home Research Institute" with more than 200 top technical engineers to foster product innovation.
The other two "rapid groundbreaking" projects in Gangkou Town are expected to start construction in March.
