"Affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the changing external market, we have adjusted the target output value this year to 4 billion yuan, 500 million yuan more than last year. Based on the steady increase in output value in the first quarter, it is possible to achieve this goal within the year," said Jiang Bo, operation director of Zhongshan Donlim Weili Electrical Appliances Co Ltd. Jiang said in an interview that the rapid growth of Weili in recent years stems from its continuous application of automation and digital transformation. The strong support of the government makes also the enterprises more confident in its development.
"The fastest time for making a cylinder washing machine, from parts production to finished product then to packing, is only 11 seconds," said Zhou Xiongjun, operation manager of the company, adding that the high-speed production line was only possible after last year's technical reform. It helps the company save more than 40% of manpower and greatly improves the production efficiency.
"Thanks to the technical reform, automation and digital transformation, Weili can maintain rapid development in a complex circumstance. Of course, we could not achieve this without the strong support of the government," said Jiang Bo.
Since 2016, Weili has made bold efforts to upgrade its production lines, focusing firstly on automation, followed by digital transformation, with an annual investment of more than 60 million yuan.
