The 6th 2011 China (Zhongshan) International Equipment Manufacturing Exposition will be held on July 3-5 in Torch International Exhibition Center. The planned exhibition area is about 30000 square meters with 1000 standard booths.

It is estimated that in the first 4 months of 2011, the 129 equipment manufacturers clustering in Torch District realized an output value of 18.81 billion yuan, accounting for 50.16% of the District’s total industrial output value. Now an equipment manufacturing cluster, involving in shipbuilding, railway equipment, textile machinery and windpower, has been in shape in Torch District in addition to the already-formed industrial clusters of package printing, medicine, electronic information, fine chemistry and auto parts.

In recent years, Torch District has attracted some large-scale enterprises as CSIC (China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation) and CREC (China Railway Engineering Corporation) to settle there. Due to the induced effect of these leading enterprises, a new batch of industrial clusters has been formed.
