Torch District also signed an agreement with Banfu Town on an economic cooperation zone at Torch District International Exhibition Center yesterday after its agreement with Nanlang Town on Zhongshan’s first economic cooperation zone

Last year CPC Zhongshan Committee and Zhongshan Government came up with a new strategy on economic cooperation with the notion of “whole Zhongshan”. Torch District and Banfu Town were based on their inner requirement and make best of the mutual advantages to reach a win-win.

In recent years Banfu Town played an active role in guiding traditional industries to get upgraded by creating brands, improving innovative ability and enhancing risk prevention. At the meantime, it takes advantage of its opportunity and develops industries of new light resources, Torch District is an important district for Zhongshan’s economy. It has achieved a lot in industrial upgrading and developed rapidly in advanced manufacturing, high-end electronic information, new energy, health science and technology. Its total volume and growth rate in terms of industrial output value, added value of above-scale industries and GDP both rank first in Zhongshan in the first half of this year.
