The organizing committee of the first Advanced Equipment Manufacturing, Investment and Trade Symposium (AEME) in the West of Pearl River held a press conference yesterday. The fair is organized by Guangdong Committee of Industry and Information Technology and Zhuhai Municipal People’s Government and sponsored by Foshan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Yangjiang, Zhaoqing Municipal People’s Government and Shunde District People’s Government under the guidance of Guangdong Commission of Economy and Information Technology and Guangdong Provincial People’s Government. The two-day fair will be held in Zhuhai International Expo Center on Aug. 22nd and 23rd. It is estimated that over 2,000 visitors at home and abroad will attend the fair, among whom over 100 are well-known advanced equipment manufacturer enjoying international reputation, and over 300 at home.

Deng Jinping, vice director of Zhongshan Commission of Economy and Information Technology, introduces the development of the advanced equipment manufacturing and the investment of the 1st AEME. He says that 729 above-scale enterprises have realized the added value of 15,849,000,000 yuan, an increase of 12.9% compared with the same period of last year, the fastest in West of Pearl River. Industrial manufacturing witnessed an increase of 19,196,000,000 yuan, up by 14.1% compare with the same period of last year, ranking high in growth rate across Guangdong.
